Round 2 with the Silhouette Rubber Stamp Kit

I decided to give the Silhouette Stamping Starter Set a go again, after failing miserably with my last go on it.

I decided instead of trying to cut a sentiment, I would try some element stamping.

I had a brand new blade and I decided to try and use that on the material, the one I use on my cardstock is still in pretty good condition.

I cut a balloons stamp that comes with the kit (you are provided a download card) and I also cut a herringbone background pattern from the SIL store.

The result with the new blade was much better

I would then say that you need to keep a blade that will be designated for cutting the rubber material, it is quite hard on the blade, so I also suggest having a couple spare..I always have spare blades anyway, but I predict that cutting a few stamps is going to be harsh on the blade and will cause it to blunted more rapidly than you are used to.

The blocks provided in the kit are quite nice, I haven't yet used the ink that comes with it though.

All in all, I have to admit that this is quite a nifty wee addition to the Silhouette family and I can see a lot of potential to designing your own rubber stamps.
